Why Piano Lessons?
The piano has always been my escape when I needed it. It brings peace, fills my heart to bursting, and allows me to express a creativity I never could elsewhere. The reason I set my heart on teaching piano in the first place was to share that love, that joy! Playing taught me so much more than school ever could, how to be comfortable in my own skin, strike out on my own, and opened my world far beyond ordinary ken.

In a technical sense, learning the piano has a lot of benefits, including a better response to criticism, improved ability to handle stress, mastering how to react well to successes and disappointments, increased social participation, stronger hand muscles, improved school performance, aural awareness, and split concentration.
Learning As An Adult
One of the excuses I’ve heard the most often is, “Man, I wish I had learned when I was younger! I’m too old now!”
It’s not true! Thanks to brain plasticity, we are fully capable of learning new things our entire lives. Brain plasticity (from the Greek word 'plastos' meaning 'molded') refers to the extraordinary ability of the brain to modify its own structure and function following changes within the body or in the external environment.
Learning as an adult can actually be an easier process than beginning from a young age because you’ll be able to grasp theory concepts faster AND start with more interesting and challenging songs to keep you motivated.

Adult Lessons occur between 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday-Thursday
