As an Arizonan native, my journey with the piano began when I was six years old, learning from a private tutor until I graduated high school. During this time, I was involved in The Arizona Study Program through Arizona State University, accompanied orchestras, bands, choirs, and joined in with piano ensembles.
I was awarded both Excellent and Superior ribbons in the Arizona Study Program [Arizona State University], which included extensive music theory instruction, testing, and requisite performances in front of a panel of judges. During my sojourn in the East Valley Music Teachers Association (EVMTA) Piano Ensemble, I received awards for Outstanding Performance and Dedication on several occasions, having completed over a decade in the program.
I currently sing and play for a local church here in town, leading worship services and focusing on bringing a variety musical programs and performances to the community.
I’ve taught piano for over ten years now, and I enjoy every moment of sharing my love of music!
I am a board member of the Desert Valley Music Teachers Association, who's aim is to represent the highest standards of music teaching and performance, provide continuous ongoing professional growth and training opportunities for all members, foster cultural activities for students, parents and the community, and to encourage excellence in student preparation and performance through honors/awards.
